Escalators and moving walks for retail, transit and public buildings, with 30° and 35° inclinations, 600/800/1000 mm step widths, VVVF energy-saving operation and optional outdoor specification.
Specified for the flow, not the drawing
Escalator specification starts with the passenger flow: how many people per hour, in which direction, and at what peak. Step width and inclination follow from that, together with the number of units and their arrangement.
A pair of 1,000 mm escalators handles roughly 8,000 persons per hour in one direction; 600 mm units suit low-rise retail where space is tight. We calculate the requirement and recommend accordingly rather than defaulting to the widest unit.
Energy where it matters
VVVF drive with automatic slow-down and standstill is standard: when no passenger is detected, the escalator decelerates to 0.2 m/s or stops, cutting energy use in low-traffic periods by up to 60% while remaining ready to start instantly.
For transit applications where continuous operation is required, the unit can run at full speed permanently with an energy-efficient machine and optional regenerative braking.
Standard specification at a glance

| Step width | 600 / 800 / 1000 mm |
| Rated speed | 0.5 m/s (0.2 m/s slow mode) |
| Max. rise | up to 8 m (model dependent) |
| Drive | VVVF with auto slow-down / standstill |
| Truss | Painted steel or hot-dip galvanised |
| Balustrade | Tempered glass or stainless steel |
| Handrail | Synthetic rubber, anti-static |
| Safety devices | Handrail speed monitor, skirt brush, comb trip, emergency stop |
| Application | Indoor, semi-outdoor, outdoor |
| Standards | Class-A Chinese licence; EN 115-1 engineering on request |
Values shown are typical for the standard configuration. Final data are confirmed on the approved layout drawing for each project.
Safety and finishes
Safety features include non-slip steps with demarcated edges, skirt guard brushes and deflectors, handrail speed monitoring, comb-plate trip detection and emergency stop at both landings.
Balustrades can be tempered glass or stainless steel, with indoor and outdoor specifications, and the truss is finished for the environment — from painted steel for a shopping mall to hot-dip galvanised for an exposed transit entrance.

About this model
35° saves about 10% of the horizontal run but is less comfortable and not permitted in some public applications. For retail and transit we usually recommend 30° unless space dictates otherwise.
Yes, with an outdoor specification: galvanised truss, IP-rated electricals, drainage, heated handrail option for cold climates and UV-stable balustrades.
Step chain and handrail inspection, lubrication and brake testing at defined intervals, plus cleaning of the truss and comb plates. We supply a wear-part kit and a schedule keyed to running hours.
