Flat Belt Villa Elevator
The belt drive in a standard villa configuration, without glass enclosure.

Where the priority is a silent, maintenance-light lift in a house that may be new or fifty years old, the flat belt home elevator is the natural specification. The polyurethane belt removes metal-to-metal contact and the lubrication routine with it, while modular car and shaft options let the same drive serve a solid-walled retrofit or a fully glazed architectural feature.
A retrofit lift is judged on how little it disturbs the building; an architectural lift is judged on how it looks. The flat belt home elevator serves both, because the drive is compact and quiet enough to hide inside a solid shaft, and clean enough — no lubrication, no oil mist — to sit inside a glazed shaft in a living space.
For glazed shafts we supply a framed enclosure with laminated safety glass, matched aluminium profiles and LED perimeter lighting. For solid shafts the same car is enclosed in painted steel or plasterboard-ready panels finished to the client's specification.

Values shown are typical for the standard configuration. Final data are confirmed on the approved layout drawing for each project.
Because the belt needs no lubrication and wears two to three times more slowly than rope, routine maintenance reduces to inspection, cleaning and occasional adjustment. There is no oil to dispose of and no drip tray to service.
The controller detects belt slip and overload, reporting early wear before it becomes a breakdown — which matters most in houses far from a service centre.
The car is available with hairline or mirror stainless steel walls, wood-grain laminate, tempered glass panels and stone-look floors. Ceiling options include flat LED panels, indirect cove lighting and a mirror ceiling that visually doubles the car height.
Control panels can be supplied in stainless steel, glass or touchscreen format, with Braille and voice announcement as options for accessibility compliance.

Yes. External glazed shafts are common in retrofit work; the enclosure is designed for wind load and thermal movement and we supply the steel sub-structure design with the equipment.
Initial cost is comparable; lifetime cost is usually lower because there is no lubrication schedule and belt replacement intervals are two to three times longer.
Visually and by measurement at the annual service — a wear marker indicates the replacement point. The controller also flags slip events, the earliest practical warning.
